  • If you move, please submit a ticket with Dragonsteel’s support team.
  • The new EU €3 customs duty has already been paid for all applicable pledges.

The last of your items are ready to go!

We’ve ordered all pledge rewards! A massive shout out to our creative and development teams for their hard work to get those done. Their efforts are what help us stay on track for tier shipping to begin in fall. As a reminder, add-ons are slated to begin shipping in early 2027 and will be a separate shipment from the main tier rewards.

The dog and the dragon plushies are ready for the next onesie party.

The Girl Who Looked Up is ready to climb your Sandershelf!

Please let us know if you move!

Now that surveys are completed, your addresses are locked. If you change states, provinces, or countries, please submit a ticket to the Dragonsteel support team to adjust your address.

A message to all EU backers:

We’ve recently become aware that the EU instituted a €3 customs charge per tariff classification. Thank you to those who called that out to us. We won’t add those charges to your shipping. Instead, Dragonsteel will cover these new shipping fees. We appreciate all our international backers, and we don’t want you to incur additional financial costs.

Until we update again!

Great news, worldhoppers: Production is on track for all books and merchandise! This means fulfillment is still on schedule and slated to begin early fall. To celebrate this, we wanted to share some final product samples with you all.

Each picture book will include a campaign-exclusive sticker sheet! Take a look at the watermarked renders of these beautiful sticker sheets—illustrated by Howard Lyon (The Dog and the Dragon), Steve Argyle (Wandersail), Anna Earley (The ChasmFriends Get a Pet), and Alexis & Justin Hernandez (The Girl Who Looked Up)—below:

Cleverclaws, your newest cuddly friend, is elated to be coming home to you so soon!

Hoid’s mystical flute is one step closer to every Worldsinger’s Sandershelf.

Helpful reminders for pay-over-time backers.

For those who chose to pay-over-time, final payments will be processed during the beginning of July. After your last payment is completed, your backer survey will be sent, and payment for shipping and taxes—where applicable—will be collected. Surveys will need to be completed promptly in order for our Dougs and chulls to deliver your rewards.

Until our next update!

Update #6: Backers, we need your help!
7 months ago – Thu, Apr 09, 2026 at 08:00:10 AM

4/9/26

TL;DR

  • Excited to get your preferred cover of The Fires of December? Fill out your backer survey ASAP!
  • Pledges will be locked and cards will be charged for shipping, taxes, VAT, and add-ons added within surveys on April 24th, 2026.
  • After payments are complete, pay-over-time backers will still get the chance to select their cover of choice on their survey.
  • Please reach out to our support team for help with any payment issues.

We’re elated to provide you with two cover options–help us get your pick home to your Sandershelf!

Your backer surveys have been sent out! This means we need you Worldhoppers to fill out your surveys as soon as possible! With the option of two covers adding unforeseen complexity to this campaign, we need exact numbers to order the correct amount of copies of Hoid’s latest travail. Please complete the survey promptly to help us avoid any potential shipping delays. Pledges will be locked and cards will be charged for shipping, taxes, VAT, and add-ons added within surveys on April 24th, 2026.

To pay-over-time backers & those experiencing payment issues: let’s attune to the Rhythm of Peace.

Backers who used the pay-over-time option will be able to access their survey after all four payments have been processed. If this includes you, don’t worry! Even though you won’t be able to fill out your survey for a few months, we are making arrangements to accommodate your cover choices.

If you backed the campaign and your payment method did not go through, you are not simply lost to Adonalsium’s judgment. Please reach out to us through our support portal and we can take a look at the specific problem and help get your pledge ready for fulfillment.

As a reminder, cards have already been charged and the refund deadline for this campaign was March 27, 2026. If you downgrade a pledge or remove add-ons a refund will not automatically be issued. You will instead have a credit applied to your pledge which can be used for other rewards within this campaign. If you have any questions, concerns, or unique circumstances please submit a ticket through our support portal.

Update #5: Late pledges are available today! But what’s next for those who have already pledged?
7 months ago – Tue, Mar 31, 2026 at 10:10:12 AM

3/31/26

TL;DR

  • The campaign has officially closed.
  • Surveys will begin being sent out early next week; please fill them out promptly!
  • You will be able to select your preferred cover of The Fires of December through your backer survey.
  • Tiers are estimated to ship Fall 2026, and add-ons will follow during the first quarter of 2027.
  • Late pledges are available starting today until April 13, 2026.
  • Hoid’s Worldsinger Symposium: Anthology will be released later this year.

Our favorite worldhopping storyteller has finished his lightweaving…for now.

Worldsingers, we’ve done it! The campaign is now officially closed. Your spheres have been put to good use, and we’re working hard on our end to get all of Hoid’s stories and artifacts to your lovely homes before the next highstorm. Be sure to fill out your backer surveys promptly, so that our chulls can expeditiously deliver your pledges once fulfillment begins. Backer surveys will begin being sent out early next week, so keep an eye on your email! Please remember that your survey must be completed and your pledge amount paid before your rewards can ship. If you have already backed this project, you will gain access to the same selections of add-ons as the pre-order store through your backer survey.

Backers who used the pay over time option will be able to access their survey after all four payments have been processed. All the same add-ons within our pre-order store will be available for pay over time backers within their surveys, even after the April 13th deadline.

How to select your cover of The Fires of December.

As a reminder, you will be able to select which cover variant you want for The Fires of December through your backer survey. If you have purchased multiple copies you will be asked to select which cover you want for each copy you purchased.

Let’s review our shipping timelines!

All tier rewards will ship in the fall of 2026. If this changes, we’ll notify you on future updates. All physical add-ons will ship separately during the first quarter of 2027.

Hoid’s Worldsinger Symposium: Anthology will be digitally released.

Thank you to all the talented Worldsingers who participated in Hoid’s Worldsinger Symposium! We were awestruck by the level of creativity and wit we saw from each of the entries, both written and weaved. The finished non-canonical Hoidian tale and the submissions from the Worldsinger Gallery that will be included in Hoid’s Worldsinger Symposium: Anthology will be distributed through BackerKit later this year. To see all of the entries for the gallery, enter the Hoid’s Worldsinger Symposium tab of this project. To see the finished tale you wrote together before the Anthology is released, visit the same tab.

We’re excited to share the Anthology masterfully weaved together by YOU!

Until next month, Worldsingers!

Update #4: The Fires of December Poll Results
7 months ago – Tue, Mar 24, 2026 at 11:03:00 AM

3/24/26

Poll results are in!

We have the best fans in the business—people who care about their bookshelves as much as we care about what goes on them. Because of you, we get to make two stunning versions of the same story!

You can watch Brandon’s update where he outlines the decision to offer both cover variants as part of this campaign.

The bottom line is that we want you to be ecstatic when your copy arrives. When your backer survey lands in your inbox, you'll be able to choose whichever cover you love most. And if you purchased an additional copy, you're welcome to select one of each!

If you have additional questions, please check out our newly added FAQs regarding the two cover choices.
